Manchester United and Portuguese midfielder, Bruno Fernandez has reacted to Lingard’s apology tweet
The England forward, Jesse Lingard has written an apology to Manchester United fans after making a decisive mistake in the closing minutes of the game.
Young Boys capitalized on Lingard back pass to claim all three points against 10-man United.
Lingard wrote that:
Every time I pull on the shirt, I hope people understand what it means to me. I always go out wanting to do the best for the club, the team and the fans.
I am upset for my part in the defeat. Mistakes happen in football, but we pick ourselves up and go again.
Bruno Fernandez replied with:
